Igor Kononenko Charitable Foundation

For more than five years, Igor Kononenko has been building a more promising future for his community and the most underprivileged sectors of society.

The Igor Kononenko Charitable Foundation was founded in 2018 to support advances and development in the fields of medicine and disabilities. Specifically, during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic of 2020, the Foundation allocated UAH 5,720,077 to help healthcare facilities protect their staff and patients.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic, Igor Kononenko and the Foundation designated support to Obukhiv and Vasylkiv Central District Hospitals, facilitating logistics and purchasing updated equipment. For Vasylkiv District Hospital, the Foundation bought six CWH-310 ventilators, which are suitable also on the youngest of patients, 13 OLV-10 oxygen concentrators, ten portable pulse oximeters, and other medical supplies. The Obukhiv District Hospital’s cancer patient ward and other medical departments were restocked with necessary machinery.

Beyond its support of healthcare institutions, the Foundation partners with the Ukrainian foundation, Territory of Good. This organization supports children and the military in Eastern Ukraine, securing a quadrocopter, car equipment, warm clothes, and holiday gifts for children.

The Foundation also purchased a specialized bus to allow children with disabilities from the Vasylkiv district to attend school safely.

The 2021 goals for the Foundation include continuing medical projects, assisting East-Ukrainian soldiers, and benefitting children.

Kononenko himself is a sports enthusiast. He is the founder and owner of Kyiv’s International Tennis Academy and supports talented players who do not have the means to achieve success in their field. He is also a supporter of the Manus Dei Foundation, an organization that supports children and youth.
